January 2013 Visa Bulletin: EB-2 India Remains Unchanged
On December 11th, U.S. Department of State (DOS) issued the January 2013 Visa Bulletin which is the fourth Visa Bulletin for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013. Unfortunately, the cutoff dates for Employment-Based second preference (EB-2) India at September 1, 2004 continues to disappoint due to lack of forward moment. Many of our clients in this category were eagerly awaiting this bulletin to anticipate rate of forward movement over the coming months but it appears the demand under this category is too high and the forward movement, if any, for EB-2 India will continue to be very slow. This lack of forward movement confirms Mr. Charles Oppenheim’s recent comments that that the DOS do not expect cutoff dates for EB-2 India to move forward anytime soon.
