March 2013 Visa Bulletin: EB-2 India Remains Unchanged (DOS Prediction)
U.S. Department of State (DOS) has just released the March 2013 Visa Bulletin which is the sixth Visa Bulletin for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013. The cutoff dates for Employment-Based second preference (EB-2) India once again continues to disappoint at September 1, 2004. In this bulletin, DOS has indicated that there is unlikely to be a forward movement in EB-2 India as the demand from the US CIS, for visa numbers in this category, continues to be extremely high. In fact, the bulletin points out that should the current rate of demand under this category continue at this pace, it is likely that at some point there may be retrogression i.e. the dates may move further back to hold demand within annual limits.
We will continue to monitor developments on this front and will provide our readers with additional information once we receive it from the DOS.
